I have been drawing and painting as long as I can remember.  My earliest memory is of sitting in a high chair with paper and crayons, layering color on top of color and then scratching through the waxy surface with my fingernail to make colorful designs.  I received my first award for an art piece when I was seven years old. 

 

 I exhibited in Young Talent In Oklahoma and the Oklahoma Drawing Competition several times during my high school years.  I was awarded the Enid Arts Association Scholarship when I graduated from high school.  I pursued my education in art at the University of Oklahoma earning my Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in 1985.

 

I then married, had children and my art became a hobby.  I have painted murals, designed halloween costumes, custom painted furniture and drawn many portraits over the years.

 

I still live in Oklahoma with my husband, two daughters, two dogs, two cats, two box turtles, one snapping turtle and a few fish.
